Explore our Park
Our park is situated in a garden setting on 6.5 acres. Conveniently accessed from the highway we are 27k west of Gladstone and 70k south of Rockhampton.
Close by you will find the local pet-friendly pub - The Royal Hotel (serving delicious traditional pub food with old-fashioned country service), Post Office/Library and Cafe. The nearby Feed Shed sells any hardware item you might be in need of, plus pet food and many other useful items too!
For the sport enthusiasts Mt Larcom has a Bowls club (licensed), Public Pool, Public Tennis courts, Kids playground and outdoor public gym.
We offer comfortable, clean deluxe motel-style ensuite cabins - rated 9.3/10 by booking.com travellers. Overnight and weekly rates are available on request. All ensuite cabins have air-conditioning and are fully self-contained with kitchenette, full size fridge, crockery and linen supplied.
The large top tier unpowered camping has water, old gum trees and some shade, with wonderful sunrise views of Mt Larcom and surrounds, best viewed from our purpose-built sunrise viewpoint. Its a great area to camp with a group of friends and spread out. Campfire pits and a picnic table are also provided, and we have a special rate for groups of ten or more. It is suited to camper-trailers, rooftops and tents, and also caravans. These sites are not designated so you can choose your spot to set up.
We have 12 powered sites, most with concrete slabs. Some are parallel park or reverse into - most offer the ability to stay hitched up. All have a bistro setting. Please note : we do not have a dump point in the park - the nearest public dump points are 30k south at Calliope or 27k east in Gladstone.
We have plenty of bird life, visited daily by Cockatoos, Red-wing parrots, King Parrots, Galahs, Kookaburras and many other bird species, and have planted native trees and shrubs to encourage even more native fauna.
We are pet friendly throughout our park but pets must be leashed around the general park area. Pets are permitted in cabins, but only with prior approval. Please see our Pets in our Park Information. We have a large flat area and access to a walking track for those wanting an off-leash area (unfenced) for their dogs.
Book in at our office which also has a small kiosk stocking essential items, and information hub with extensive leaflets and tourist guides for activities and venues in the area.
Board games, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, boules, basketball and other games are available - please ask reception if you would like to use them.
Free Wifi is available to guests in most areas of the Park.
We have hot showers and clean modern amenities. Our Laundry has coin-operated washing machines and a dryer. There is also plenty of outdoor drying available.
All our cabin linen and towels are laundered on-site and line dried for good old-fashioned freshness.
